The MLB Bat can provide day or night (visible or infrared) imagery for 6 hours on solitary missions or 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by operating in teams. From one central location, operators can monitor the full array of urban infrastructure:

  railways
  bridges
  power transmission corridors
  water treatment and storage sites
  natural gas facilities
  ports and harbors
  crowds and events

With fuel costs of less than 20 cents per hour, a Bat is an extremely economical means to have a mobile, persistent eye in the sky.
